Emergency contraceptive pill

As the name implies, the emergency contraceptive pill, also called "morning after pill", is used in cases of emergency (e.g., after accidents with contraception) after intercourse when a pregnancy is not desired. The emergency contraceptive pill must be taken as soon as possible after intercourse and can be obtained without a prescription in German pharmacies.
